RCS Corporation has an immediate need for an Electrical/Battery Storage Inspector local to the Orange, CA area.  This is a part-time, 6-month contract position.

Job Summary:

Our client is looking to appoint an electrical / battery storage inspector for a period anticipated up to six months and requiring 10-20 hours per week. The hours will be variable and not guaranteed. This inspector will be providing inspections at a factory on the progress of batteries.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Complete Inspector’s Daily Reports.
  • Identify any work that is not in conformance with the Contract Documents.
  • Establish and maintain documentation of non-conforming work in accordance with the Contract Documents.
  • Attend and participate in weekly meetings, as required.
  • Monitor and track all delays and extra work.
  • Take and log production photos (digital, video, and regular).
  • Perform other inspection services as requested.
  • Candidate Specification

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Electrical Construction Background 
  • Experience in Buildings
  • Experience in Power (Power generation, power systems, or transmission, etc)
  • Team player and willingness to follow instructions. Have an appreciation of the roles of fellow professionals on other projects and interfacing and coordinating with them appropriately
  • Interfacing with clients, suppliers and contractors
  • Ability to produce clear and logical written communication
  • Flexible approach to work, and ability to prioritize and manage time effectively to meet deadlines and client needs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, MSC preferred
  • Any understanding of energy storage preferred
  • Be able to demonstrate previous advisory experience to clients in the energy sector
  • Should have previous experience of working for a consulting engineer or professional services provider
  • Knowledge of fuel cells would be an advantage
