RCS Corporation has an immediate need for Senior Level Electrical Engineers located in Denver, CO. This is a Full-Time, 6 Month Contract Assignment. Candidates must be local.

Job Summary:

  • Under minimal supervision, prepares design products that may include sketches, calculations, studies, material equipment lists, equipment procurement specifications, and drawings. 
  • Prepares formal calculations, analyses, studies, specifications, reports, and other technical documents. 
  • Checks and performs design verification of electrical calculations, drawings, and specifications. 
  • Reviews vendor drawings, shop drawings, and other discipline drawings.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform a range of design development, analysis or review tasks under minimal supervision.
  • Act as a lead on less complex tasks and responsible for a portion of an electrical design or section of an analysis or design review.
  • Direct interface and liaison with customers at all levels from quotation to final design and test activities, design reviews and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications.
  • Conduct site walk downs, analyze engineering problems, propose solutions and alternatives, and provide recommendations.
  • Experience in design and analysis of electrical distribution systems and industrial power systems, circuit breaker coordination, load flow calculations, short circuit studies.
  • Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards.
  • Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related scientific field (or equivalent education) with at least 15 years of relevant and progressive professional experience in the analysis, and design of electrical systems in nuclear (preferred) or industrial experience.
  • Experience in power system analysis, including load flow, voltage drop, short circuit, harmonic, arc flash and relay coordination studies utilizing SKM or ETAP.
  • Advanced level of experience with electrical one line diagrams, schematics and wiring diagrams, sizing and specifying electrical equipment, power & control, grounding, lightning protection, communications and security systems.
  • Previous Supervising Experience
  • Proficient in 2D/3D AutoCAD, AutoCAD MEP, AutoCAD Electrical, Revit
  • Excellent communications and analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs
  • Candidate must be a US citizen. Dual citizenship is not permitted.
