Job Summary

  • Develops Facility work packages for design implementation, facility based preventative maintenance and surveillances on site structures, systems, and components, such as but no limited to, HVAC, electrical distribution, fire protection, backflow preventers, sewage treatment plant, eye wash stations, shotcrete bluffs, drainage systems, asphalt and road ways, office spaces, etc.
  • Develops Facility work packages for corrective maintenance and site support activities.
  • Supports Engineering on the installation of temporary electrical equipment to support decommissioning activities, HVAC, crane repower, and testing, radiation monitoring, and water filtration and processing system set up.
  • Responds to Facility Requests and Corrective Action Program (CAP) initiated by site employees
  • Support schedule development and resource estimation for facility activities
  • Develops Work Packages for design implementation of temporary services (temp power, HVAC, potable and non-potable service.
  • Monitors field installation activities and performs necessary sign off/verifications in work packages.
  • Performs field checks ensuring all entries in work packages are current and up to date.
  • Supports or performs pre-job briefings, in accordance with applicable procedures, with all required personnel prior to start of work activities.
  • Assists implementation personnel with the interpretation of design requirements during installation.
  • Prepares Field Change Requests (FCRs) when conflicts in design or field installation needs dictate.
  • Prepares Request for Information documents (RFIs) to either SCE and or subcontractors.
  • Prepares field sketches (FSKs) for field implementation.
  • Performs surveillances of Subcontractor activities.
  • Prepares field material requisitions (FMRs) for purchase of permanent and temporary/consumable plant material.
  • Coordinates with Operations for work authorization and Lock Out/Tag Out configurations.
  • Support rigging and handling coordination and work instruction development (rigging plans)
  • Coordinates work package closure.
  • Prepares turnover packages for completed work.
  • Coordinates turnover of assigned packages to document control.
  • Inputs lessons learned and craft feedback for future use.
  • Knowledge within building, landscape, and roadway facility maintenance
  • Knowledge in electrical, civil, and mechanical facility bases structure, systems, and components.
  • Work package preparation, implementation, and closeout.
  • Able to work in a multi-faceted work environment coordinating general duties while responding to corrective maintenance.
  • Coordinate with craft supervisors and perform field engineering duties during work execution.
  • Preferred experienced and working knowledge in Aconex (Document Management System), Microsoft SharePoint, Word and Excel.

Minimum Requirements

  • Preferred Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in industrial plant planning and maintenance.
