Job Summary:

Our Client is seeking an engineering professional with mid to senior level experience to join our team. We are eager to recruit a candidate who can build client relationships, provide leadership and management of projects and support our team in identifying and winning new opportunities.

Responsible for performing electrical and controls system engineering in the Oil and Gas Industry. Responsibilities will include development of the following: scopes of work, engineer fees, design criteria packages, power distribution plans, arc flash studies, electrical equipment sizing, grounding plans, lighting plans, control system network architecture plans, PLC control drawing, instrument selection, and loop drawings. 

In addition to detail design, the position will be responsible for engineering field data collection, engineering construction support, and engineer quality control reviews. The position will require significant customer interface and the ability to develop and maintain customer relationships that lead to additional engineering work.



Minimum Qualifications: 

We invite applications from candidates with the following experience:

  • Education: BSEE from an ABET accredited university
  • Professional Registration: (PE) required, additional states would be considered a plus.
  • Required Technical Experience: Low and Medium Voltage Power Distribution Design; Building, Area, and Roadway Lighting Design; Grounding and Lighting Protection System Designs Construction Cost Estimating; Ability to develop an electrical scope of work and list of deliverables
  • Must have experience with oil and gas midstream facilities in compression and pumps. 
  • Required Code and Standard Knowledge: NEC, IESNA, NFPA 70E, IEEE Color Book Series
  • Required Software Capabilities: Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, SKM or ETAP, Computer Based Lighting Software
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • ?Travel:Ability to travel to remote project sites for multiple days and obtain electrical and instrumentation field data
  • Customer Interface:Experience in serving as a Project Manager on electrical engineering projects
  • Budgeting/Estimating: Experience in developing estimated engineering fees for electrical and instrumentation designs
  • Supervision: Past experience in oversight of technical design staff
